WE BELIEVE IN STORIES.

Jared Sarnie and Shazeb Meraj, co-creators of Becca Productions, believe in the power of storytelling. We live in a time defined by volatility and divisiveness, and there is no doubt a severe lack of empathy in everyday life. But, what better way to gain empathy for others than to learn more about their stories?

Becca Productions has made it their mission to tell socially provocative stories through theatre, film, podcasts, and more. Through their writing, they seek to convey diverse thoughts and experiences in order to shed a light on issues that are often ignored in an effort to contribute to an increasingly diverse and inclusive future.

Edited with Afterlight (1).jpg

A young man Talks to Himself a little too much. A mother sings her daughters into a closet. A fudge-up learns a thing or two about child prodigies. A comedian dies quietly.

These are the tragic tales of Sad Stories and Happy Songs, recorded in stunning stereo for your listening pleasure. Inspired by vintage radio hours, Sad Stories and Happy Songs, brings a contemporary  approach to the medium. This curated audio anthology features original music, writing, and performance from a diverse group of young artists, and is available to stream now on SoundCloud.

THE CAPSULE PODCAST

The Capsule Art (1).jpg

Growing up gay, fat, and a golfing prodigy isn't easy. On the other hand, it does make for some great stories.

The Capsule is a weekly television talk show, that's a lot less about tv and a lot more about life. Every episode tackles two of the greatest standalone episodes of television, as picked by host  and Jeremy Lambert. In the interview chair is the eccentric Noah Leblanc, talking candidly about his struggles with obesity, coming out, and of course, his opinions on local news anchor Ed Harding. Listen to Noah and Jeremy every Monday on SoundCloud and iTunes.
